Appointments are always recommended, but not necessary. We welcome walk-ins, and will accommodate them on a first come first serve basis.
You can contact us via email, FaceBook, Instagram, our website, call (825) 474-1717, or use our online form here. We will be happy to assist you in the process. Prior to your appointment, we like to discuss the tattoo removal project. At that point we request a $50 deposit to hold your appointment slot.
A deposit ensures that you and us are both dedicated to the project. All deposits made are deducted from your total on appointment day. Deposits are non refundable, as it will be converted to a no-show-up fee if you don’t attend on time.
Due to the complex nature of our work, we do not quote prices over the phone or by email/messages. Only after submitting photos we can give you an estimate once we have a clear understanding of the project on hand. Furthermore, it is not always possible to judge, especially with a large piece, what the exact total cost will be. Sometimes, larger tattoo removal will evolve over time, and will change from the initial plan and therefore the cost estimate. It is important to show details of your old tattoos as this will impact your final cost.
We accept cash, and credit cards. For the deposit of the online booking , we accept credit cards payment via Stripe (a secure payment processor).
Although not proven to be unsafe to have laser treatments while pregnant, it is not an accepted standard of practice. In our opinion, a safe and prudent practitioner would not offer laser services for a women that is pregnant or breastfeeding.
During laser treatment of your tattoo, you will notice a whitening (frosting) of the ink. This indicates that it has been shattered by the laser and is caused by the release of heat energy from the ink particles breaking down. This frosting is temporary, usually only lasts a few minutes, and will most likely have disappeared before you leave the clinic.
Once the frosting has disappeared, your skin will develop some redness and may start to radiate heat. This sensation is often likened to the feeling of sunburn and will last from several hours to a few days.
Swelling is also a common occurrence after laser treatments, as your body reacts to the treatment and attempts to immobilize the area. Larger tattoos will typically experience more swelling than small tattoos. Lower limbs and extremities do not typically enjoy good circulation and are more likely to swell than other body parts. It is common for swelling to follow the path of gravity and may travel down a limb in the days after treatment. This is completely normal and will resolve itself with time.
Bruising is also a common occurrence on some tattoos after laser, particularly on areas such as the ribs and inner bicep. This is completely normal, may last up to a week or 2, and is nothing to be concerned about.
When you leave our clinic after your treatment, your tattoo will be covered with a soothing gel and a sterile dressing. In some cases, we may simply apply a gel without a dressing. After this, you should;
It is possible that you may experience some blistering after your laser treatment. Do not be alarmed by this. This bodily reaction is a normal part of the healing process and often occurs on very large tattoos or on areas of low circulation, such as fingers and ankles. Blisters are readily treatable and with the right aftercare, will heal perfectly and leave the skin intact.
In the event that blisters form:
If there is any crusting, scabbing or oozing from the blisters:
It is very rare but possible that your tattoo may become infected following blisters. In the rare event that the tattoo looks infected: (i.e. you develop a temperature over 38°C or increasing pain, and/or there is honey coloured oozing or increasing redness running away from the area), contact us immediately or visit your local doctor or medical centre.
Adherence to these aftercare instructions is an important part of getting the great tattoo removal results that you desire. Laser tattoo removal requires a team effort, involving Think Again as your treatment experts, and you as the preparation and aftercare expert. Laser therapy is just the beginning of the tattoo removal process. The better you care for your tattoo pre and post laser treatment, the better your results will be.
The natural healing and ink clearance processes of your body will also work more efficiently if you maintain your general health before, during and after laser treatment. The healthier you are, the better the process will work. As much as you can, try to avoid or limit any toxins such as nicotine or alcohol throughout the process, as these substances will place additional burdens on the body’s immune system. Try to stay active and drink plenty of fluids, in order to stimulate the lymphatic and vascular systems and to assist in the removal of the ink from your bloodstream.
